PUBLIC NOTICE for the recruitment of personnel by the PROTEUS Association – Profile: FIELD SCIENTIFIC OPERATOR – BOAT ASSISTANT, NATURALIST TECHNICIAN & SCIENTIFIC COMMUNICATOR – under the project ECHO – Regeneration of Lake Shore Habitats for the Conservation and Enhancement of Submerged Carbon – financed by the INTERREG VI–A ITALY–SWITZERLAND 2021–2027 Cooperation Program – Project CUP code E11D24000480007.

Background

On 27 March 2025, decree no. 4208 (Act ID no. 229) was approved by the Lombardy Region – General Directorate of Local Authorities, Mountain, Energy Resources, and Water Resource Management, granting funding for the ECHO project – Regeneration of Lake Shore Habitats for the Conservation and Enhancement of Submerged Carbon – under the INTERREG VI–A ITALY–SWITZERLAND 2021–2027 Program.

On 14 July 2025, the Board of Directors of the Proteus Association formalized the request to assign project leadership to ENERION RENEWABLES S.R.L (Tax ID 03622980138, registered office: Via Monte Nero 2, Como) for the recruitment of a Field Scientific Operator – Boat Assistant, Naturalist Technician & Scientific Communicator, within the framework of the ECHO project.

Purpose of the Selection

The Proteus Association (Viale Geno 14 – 22100 Como, CF 95061350138, PI 03202600130, email: segreteria@proteus.life – PEC: proteus@pec.assoproteus.it) is responsible for carrying out several specialized activities under the ECHO project. Since there is no internal staff member qualified to perform the required duties, it is necessary to recruit an external professional for this position.

The selection will be managed by Enerion Renewables S.R.L. (“the COMPANY”) on behalf of the Proteus Association. Recruitment will be conducted through a public call for applications, based on qualifications and interview. Position Profile

Technical Manager: Candidates must have proven expertise and documented experience relevant to the technical management of the ECHO project.

Contract type: Coordinated and continuous collaboration contract.
Duration: 23 months.
Gross total remuneration: €21,600.00 (inclusive of VAT, social security contributions, and taxes).
Workload: Approximately 720 hours, to be scheduled with project management based on service needs.
Location: Municipality of Como – primarily at the Proteus Association headquarters (Viale Geno) and along the shores of the first basin of Lake Como, in front of Villa Olmo. Travel outside the project area may be required and will need prior authorization.

Selection Process

Phase 1 – Evaluation of Applications
- Verification of submitted applications.
- Technical evaluation based on the criteria outlined in Article 8.
- A ranking list will be prepared, and the top three eligible candidates will be admitted to the interview.
Phase 2 – Final Interview
- The selected candidate will be appointed through the signing of a collaboration contract with the Proteus Association.
- Payment will be made monthly, upon approval of a timesheet by the general director.
