Montego Bay Jamaica Airport ACA Level 2 certified

The Montego Bay International Airport in Jamaica has obtained Level 2 of the Airport Carbon Accreditation program. The certification confirms that the airport has reduced the intensity of its controlled emissions in 2021 thanks to various measures, among which the generation of renewable energy for self-consumption from a photovoltaic plant installed in the airport terminal.

In this way, the MBJ airport reaffirms its commitment to decarbonization defined in its environmental policy, in line with the global goals set by the aviation sector.

Enerion has provided its consulting services to the MBJ airport since 2021.
