Roma Airports | Italy

Belonging to the Mundys group (Atlantia), Aeroporti di Roma S.p.A. (ADR) is an Italian operating group in charge of the operations of two airports: Ciampino Giovan Battista Pastine (CIA) and Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci (FCO). In the latter, 80% of the total traffic of the Italian capital is concentrated, in addition to being the main international and intercontinental HUB.

Both airports were, at the time, the first in Europe to reach the maximum level of the ACA. Among their planned actions to fight climate change are: building two large photovoltaic plants of several megawatts; carry out the Smart Airport project that aims to study and make available SAF (sustainable fuels) for aviation and the airport sector; develop a capillary network of charging stations for electric vehicles.

Since 2017, our team has been contracted to carry out the ACA verification of the two airports in Rome: Ciampino and Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino. Our services have been provided to audit the requirements for access to level 3+ certification, its renewal in 2019-20 and in 2021 the move to Level 4+ "Transition". Both airports were at the time the first in Europe to reach the highest level of the ACA.
