Girasol II – EGE Haina | Dominican Republic
Empresa Generadora de Electricidad Haina, is a public-private company dedicated to the generation of electricity in the Dominican Republic. The company is the leader in the Caribbean in the production of non-conventional renewable energy. EGE Haina operates 13 generation plants of which around 400 MW are wind and solar plants, with a forecast of + 1000 MW renewable by 2030.
This is the second phase of Girasol Solar Plant, which will have an extra capacity of 60 MWp. The plant will enter into operation in 2025.

Since 2022 we are consultants for EGE Haina in relation to the registration to the Gold Standard program of its solar plants in the Dominican Republic. This within the framework of its Program of Activities (PoA) called EGE Haina Solar, related to the generation of photovoltaic electricity generation for injection into the national grid.
Girasol II is in the preparation phase to be registered as Gold Standard.
